I don't know about you, but I simply cannot work with a cluttered computer desktop. The same goes for my actual desk too. I have to have organization and neatness or I go nuts! I recently designed myself a desktop organizer to keep all my files and folders nice and neat. I thought that other photographers might be in need of some organization and find this useful, so I decided to make this into a Free Photoshop template. This design can be completely customized, from the background image to the colors, and text. Unfortunately, the font is not included in the freebie, but you can purchase it on Creative Market HERE. The baby girl pictured in this sample image is Callie, my latest newborn session. You can see more adorableness from her session here.
As a reminder, please make sure you are posing SHORTCUTS to your folders vs actually placing your folders on your desktop. Things saved directly on your desktop are not backed up and can be lost during updates. It is best to never actually have a file or folder directly on your desktop, just in case. (Thanks for the reminder Sarah Morgan!)
I hope this freebie helps make your workload a little lighter and makes it easier to stay organized. Click the image to download. You will be redirected, look for the download icon on the upper right corner to access the PSD file. Feel free to share this freebie with your photographer friends by sending them to this post, but please do not directly send the original file. As with any art work, do not claim this design as your own or attempt to resell. You will need Photoshop to open and use this template. To make changes to it just follow the promptings on the layers panel. The background image can be easily changed by double clicking. A panoramic shot will work best for this design vs a close up. If you enjoy this freebie and would like to see more in the future, please leave a comment below!
