"Breastfeeding is a mother's gift to herself, her baby and the earth."
As a breastfeeding mother myself, I know just how special yet fleeting this time with your baby is. Our babies are constantly growing, changing, and achieving new milestones. The moment a child stops nursing truly seems so spontaneous. I have breastfed three babies so far (yes, I plan to have more) and can tell you from personal experience that even when you see it coming, it still sort of catches you off guard. Because of this, I make it part of my mission as a Houston baby photographer to capture portraits of mothers nursing their little ones. Not just in an effort to normalize breastfeeding, but also as a way of celebrating it! Just as we like to capture our babies when they can finally sit up, crawl, or turn one; I believe that breastfeeding is a cause for celebration that deserves to be captured too.
In celebration of National Breastfeeding Month, I will be offering breastfeeding mini sessions. Contact me for more information and to schedule your session.
