I can hardly believe that it's been almost one year since I photographed baby M. You have probably seen this sweet guy's newborn photos throughout my website and if you've ever been to my little studio, you have seen his photos hanging on my walls. I must admit that this adorable little fella has been one of my most favorite newborns to date. I have had the privilege of photographing him twice now. In just one week, I get to photograph him yet again for his first birthday session. I love watching my newborn clients grow into toddlerhood as they return for their sitter session and then again for their first birthday photoshoot. I am always in awe to see how much each baby has grown and developed since the last time they stopped by because they really do change so quickly that first year. It's truly an amazing thing getting to capture each and every baby's milestones as they come through my little home studio. I must admit that I do have lots of fun at every First Birthday session. There's party music, singing, giggles, confetti, and usually a cake involved. What's not to love about that? It's seriously like a private little party right in my studio but that's not the only reason I love it so much. No, my favorite part comes afterwards. I guess you could call it the after party. It's when I sit down with mom and dad and together we look through baby's photos from birth to first year. That is my absolute favorite moment of all. Getting to see the parents' joy as they look back on their first year of parenting. It's that beautiful moment of celebration that says we did it, we made it through year one! I am looking forward to seeing baby M and his mom again and getting to celebrate his first birthday with a fun session. In the meantime, we can all reminisce on his first tender moments of life as a newborn baby. If you are like me and can't get enough of baby M, be sure to check out his sitter session too!
