Yesterday I photographed the most amazing mama to be and I simply could not wait to share a few images from her photoshoot. I am in love with every single frame from her milk bath maternity session. It was so hard to pick just a few favorite images to share. When Ana contacted me to book her maternity session, I knew it would result in portraits that would portray motherhood as it is, real, honest, and beautifully unfiltered. Ana is a Houston based speaker, writer, and model on a mission to help women love themselves and their bodies. Although I was the photographer and not the subject, this photoshoot was an incredibly empowering experience for me. Having recently delivered my fourth baby, I must admit I had been worried about getting my "pre-baby body" back. Yesterday's shoot with Ana helped me to refocus my energy toward loving my body for the amazing job it has done in birthing four little humans beautifuilly. I had no idea going in, that I would leave this shoot having a deeper appreciation for my perfectly imperfect self. As you can see, none of the images from this session are airbrushed or retouched. My hopes in sharing these photographs is that other mothers who come across them may feel inspired by them and that they may allow themselves to see the physical beauty in their own bodies. I'd like to invite you to read Ana's body positive blog HERE. More images from this session coming soon.
